I worked at UnitedHealth Group full-time for more than 5 years

Pros

Try to give raises every year (and some bonus).

Cons

After 6 1/2 years of devotion and only missing one day of work because of having to go into the hospital (unexpectedly). The company really doesn't care and closes the office you are working in and instead of letting you telecommute like every other person in the same office you get laid off!!!!!!!!!

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Care more about employees as you claim to care about members (they are members too).

I worked at UnitedHealth Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Very nice on-site gym facility with a nice view of a wooded area. Also, I was impressed with the cafeteria that was also on-site.

    Cons

Zero work life balance and no camaderie among employees of our department. Only focus was on meeting deadlines not on quality. It seemed that our my manager was as stressed as our department.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get your nose out your books and spreadsheets and really talk to employees. Do not rely employee surveys...the questions are written in a way to skew the results so things seems positive.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Positive Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
