    Pros

University of Houston promotes continuous learning. Full-time employees can obtain scholarships to take one course a semester practically free of charge. The university
offers a variety of work-life benefits including: standard 40-hour work week, little overtime, friendly atmosphere at work and a casual dress code (in some departments)

    Cons

Salary and health/dental benefits are not as competitive, but the University offers quite a few paid holidays. It is nice to have a week and a half off (paid) during winter holidays.

    Advice to Management

President Khator is a wonderful person and a great leader.

    Pros

The University of Houston campus Recreation center is a flexible fun environment for active students to work.

    Cons

Due to the low level of skill involved in the nature of the job, the Campus Recreation Center's management largely treats student employees as replaceable and disposable.

    Advice to Management

Treating student workers with genuine respect and appreciation while motivating their productivity is the key to both staff morale and customer satisfaction. A warm, but firm hand is needed to manage these student employees.
