Pros

Wal-Mart is a "You-Are-What-You-Are" company to work for. if you are a mediocre employee with little drive to advance, don't expect the silver platter, but if you have a desire to serve, to advance, and to complete expectations, then the opportunities are endless.

Cons

90 waiting period for Associate Discount

Advice to Management

Remember two things: Take care of your employees and your employees will take care of you. And "Don't put off till tomorrow, that which can be done today."

    Pros

    Flexible
    Clean Store
Usually provide you with all the supplies you need

    Cons

Managment makes or breaks a store and some managers act like slave masters constantly asking what you are doing when you are doing something.

It's nice that the customers always right but customers have way to much power. People who are just having a bad day will come in and demand their way then complain to managers if you don't comply. Which in term will lead to you getting fired if it happens enough whether you did right or wrong.

    Advice to Management

You have TMAT, CSM's, and close to 70 employe's working at any given time. Let them do their job and don't hassel people unless it's just not getting done at all. Of course direct manager intervention is needed in area's like GM unloading but there is no need for managers to walk around the store and spy on associates.

A constant state of near slavery.

    Pros

The pros are few and far between.

    Cons

10 different bosses that want 10 different things done at once... all outside your pay grade. Many many more things besides this. They cut your breaks, schedule outside your availability, do not follow NYS labor laws, maintain under 10% full time employees when Wal mart rules state that we need a minimum of 20%. They are rude, crude, and don't know their own jobs.

    Advice to Management

Figure out what your job is and do it or find a tall cliff and do us all a favor.
