I have been working at Williams-Sonoma part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    - Learned a lot about kitchen tools (appliances, cutlery, techniques, etc)
     - Good discount
     - Most were nice enough, lot of returning customers
     - Easy enough to ask others for shift changes/help

    Cons

    - Like most other retail stores, it gets pretty hectic (didn't help it was somewhat understaffed at times)
     - Had to take breaks within the store sometimes because only myself and manager were working (at least one person on the floor)
     - Every now and then you get a very early/late shift (several hours extra) to set up features
     - Lot of on-call shifts, hard to really plan anything

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Better and more consistent scheduling would have been nice. Heard several other complaints about lack of hours or too many on-call shifts.
