Pros

*Great people to work with who are passionate about products and people.
*Products are excellent and their quality makes it easy to sell. Ethics in production are high.
*Chuck Williams, the founder, is an absolutely amazing and inspiring man who treats everyone like family.

Cons

*Time off was hard to come by, work/life balance very difficult to achieve
*Too much favoritism shown by some managers
*Mistakes are very hard to overcome, even simple ones. It becomes a roadblock if you ever desire a transfer, promotion, merit increase, etc.

Advice to Management

*Trust individual locations to do the right thing.
*Too many metrics, streamline employee evaluations so that they are more meaningful
*More support of employee decisions would be nice

    Pros

People First, Customers and Associates. Best Product Available. Senior Management is invested in finding solutions. Best Customers. Big emphasis on internal promotions.

    Cons

This is minor... at times Senior Management can be reative, rather than proactive.

  2. Sets a higher standard for retail employment experience

    Pros

There are plenty of growth opportunities available, and the company has a great focus on both the customer experience and employee needs.

    Cons

There are huge opportunities around internals systems, particularly inventory management. On the note of inventory, more attention needs to be directed towards stockroom operations. Without accurate inventory levels, the company will lose out on sales and profits.

    Advice to Management

Treat everyone equally. The stock guy you staffed by himself to load furniture in vehicles deserves just as much recognition as the sales associate that generated the sale.
