I have been working at Xerox full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Everyone is mostly nice. The job is not hard if you are a natural apologist.

    Cons

It really doesn't matter how you treat the customers. If they think you did not treat the right even if you were absolutely perfect in your call the survey will stay... the reason is you could have always done better or offered more, it will rarely be disputed.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

revamp how the surveys are viewed.

    Neutral Outlook
    Approves of CEO

Former Employee - Senior Software Engineer  in  Webster, NY (US)
Former Employee - Senior Software Engineer in Webster, NY (US)

I worked at Xerox full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    Excellent long term vacation benefits.
    Casual work environment.

    Cons

Lack of visibility and growth. No conception of what quality work is and who does it. Impossible schedule typically slip, no one is responsbile. "Pay for performance" is a joke. Attempted to outsource most of the engineering functions (perhaps they realize they don't know how to manage engineering). Lack of vision and focus. The "core competencies" (mechanical engineering/optics) they eliminated to try to focus on their "core incompetency" software.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Probably unimportant, since Xerox wants to be a call center.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO
