Pros

"Perks" like free food, gym, massages
Lots of smart, interesting, motivated ground-level staff

Cons

Ambiguous expectations for many positions, especially less common ones
Work-life balance awful if you have outside commitments
Inexperienced management
Politics, politics, politics... it's a game company, so prepare to play lots of games w/your job

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop thinking that "treating employees well" means throwing perks & dubious stock/bonus promises at them. Instead, staff your Operations and Partner teams properly and pay them with the same respect you give engineers. Be transparent with expectations, provide feedback, and for crying out loud so something about the drinking and sexual behavior at work.

    Pros

    Games have a lot of promise.

    Cons

    They don't seem to have a clue about what frustrates players or how to balance competion within their games. That also means they don't realize that happy customers become paying customers and and angry customers just quit.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Focus on the customer and less on spamming them for in-game purchases. the former will lead to the latter.
