I worked at Enterprise Rent-A-Car full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Great environment to learn how to operate a business from top to bottom. Fellow employees are wonderful to work with. The pay can be outstanding if you are able to be promoted beyond a branch manager. Great service line. You are truly working for the best in the industry.

    Cons

The company mission statement has lost it's meaning since the founder is no longer making decisions. His son has put more emphasis on profits over happy employees and satisfied customers. It is a grind at all levels to completely blow away your previous years profit and expense containment numbers. Retention is completely out of control when the company loses ~ 45% of their front line office employees each month. It's hard to have consistently great numbers when you are always training newly hired staff.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Put the old mission statement back in place and follow the original recipe that made the company so great. Employees really do come first then the customers will be even happier and profits will in fact take care of themselves.
Dont ever forget where you came from.
