    Life in Fidelity!!!

    Associate (Former Employee) Bangalore

ProsAs a fresher you have to join this company. It will help you to understand the meaning of pressure at work.
It will help you in Multitasking. It will help you in planning your leaves, a day's schedule. Freshers can work here for 2 years. If you really like the Company and want your career to grow then start preparing for your IJP.
Bonus will be good but there will be minimum change in your CTC. You'll find good friends in your Cab but not in team. If you feel there is no growth in your job or not interested to do the record keeping job then please move on. Yes fun factor will be there only if you are in a fun team. Competition is High so Beware of your Co-Workers.

ConsI think the pay-scale and bonus. It's very low for the people who work consistently and who do not work will earn a higher bonus.
There is favoritism if you belong to the same community.
Even if you don't like gossiping, you have to be present with the team when they are doing so.
Team leaders have to improve on their process knowledge. Leadership skills are important but it does not mean it is unnecessary to learn the process.
Working on Saturday's and Sunday during peak seasons.
Never buy food in Cafeteria. It's tasty but your stomach will start bloating after an hour. Every food item is prepared with Baking Soda. Chapatis are fine to have but get your gravy/subji.

Advice to Senior ManagementEmployees who have spent 7+ years in Fidelity are not promoted to a higher position and they will remain as a senior associate till they leave the company.
Train the Team Leaders before handing a different team. If they don't undergo this then they wouldn't know how their team members perform. They would not know the difficulties in the process.
Every team member and team has to be recognized during the Domain Fest.
