Current Employee – been working at Flextronics full-time for more than a year
Pros – - You get to play with new phones all the time
- Satisfaction when customer's are really grateful for you services
- never a dull day
Cons – - Pay. Pay. Pay. You expect a LOT out of your employees, but aren't paying them to do all of the extra work.
- Not enough actual training. All the new phones that come out, we essentially teach ourselves how to use them. There is no real tools to make KNOWING how to do your job easier.
- Pay.
- Open on Sunday
- Being forced to work 10-11 hr days
- New management is hiring a lot of their former employees from other companies based on personal relationships. And the new hires are ALL awful.
- No real opportunity for growth
Advice to Senior Management – Only promote from within. Hiring managers that have no clue how to do the most basic function of the job over your current Supervisors that have put in the work seems pretty crappy. If you don't feel they're ready, you should spend more time developing your employees to prepare then for higher positions. Also, pay people what they're worth.

Former Employee – worked at Flextronics full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – Very good culture among engineers, technicians and direct labor workers. Management often invites even the lowest level worker to help in the decision making processes that have direct relation to their job. Good continual self improvement efforts regarding manufacturing process flow.
Cons – Managements unwillingness to step up to customers that don't support their test equipment, instead telling their engineers to "Deal with it." rather than getting the customer to fix their problems. Sometimes lots of pressure and overtime to try and meet tight production schedules. Hockey-stick quarters due to wall-street driven revenue targets, resulting in hurry up and wait situations, instead of steady flow.
Advice to Senior Management – Listen to your engineers and don't tolerate customers that aren't willing to support your production efforts.

Current Employee – been working at Flextronics full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – Tremendous amount of opportunity to learn about customer needs, large scale operation and business process discipline. There is no shortage of excitement because there is always something new that's happening.
Cons – Over the years the company has became overly bureaucratic, self centered and unwilling or unable to implement real changes. Despite the increases in internal communication, the top executives are increasingly more distanced from the real world.
Advice to Senior Management – 1) The company needs to quickly evolve beyond its eroding EMS business model. 2) Need to learn how to navigate in the unfamiliar emerging markets. 3) Culture is what we practice, not something we say.

Current Employee – been working at Flextronics full-time for more than a year
Pros – Salary is decent for what you do, but recent changes put your daily tasks on par with a COR sales store and the pay is not cimparable.
Cons – Inability to weed out underperforming team members.
Advice to Senior Management – Dont worry so much about the HR side of letting underperforms go. Keeping them only hinders the moral of the store.

Current Employee – been working at Flextronics full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – - great local expert team and coworkers whom to work with, both in professional and personal features.
- relative big enough freedom in working tools, to realize your imaginations and if it is not tooo innovative then you will find Sr mmt support on it.
Cons – - environment is not ideal for family and private life.
- compensation package depends in 120% of corporate and own needs. Means, if you are very required can gain extra more. But if you need the job, benefit is highly under the exp. avrg.
- local Sr management
- not a human-in-the-focus company. Employers are tools on progress and to achieve goals.
- no focus on coworkers professional development.
Advice to Senior Management – More focus to the human resources, due to this factor could help to achieve the goals.
