Former Employee – worked at Forever 21 part-time for more than 7 years
Pros – met amazing people working there up to the manager
learned a ton of skills
Cons – doesn't hire from within the company
Advice to Senior Management – with corporate it's a hierarchical chain run by a lot of men working for a fashion company, however the chain of command within stores is horizontal. The combination of the two clash and a lot of misunderstanding happens.

The hours are not usually too bad.
If you're in high school, looking for a way to make a little cash then this job would be great for you!
Cons – Not very fulfilling.
On your feet a lot.
This will probably not turn into a career.
Some of the people there are a little strange/not motivated at all.

Pros – Getting to know the newest fashion trends first. Being able to wear the newest trends at work.
Cons – The company does not pay very well for the amount of work they expect you to do. Customers are often dissatisfied with the return policy and many times you are yelled at for it. The company also does not have a good discount for their employees.

Current Employee – been working at Forever 21 part-time for more than 3 years
Pros – - Trendy, stylish apparel at very affordable prices (although it seems to be getting a bit expensive)
- Flexible hours, great work for a student
- Plenty of room for advancement, IF you're hard working AND determined
- Good experience relating to retail/fashion industry
Cons – - Hours fluctuate by season (a lot during the summer but very little after Christmas) unless you're full time
- Unprofessional environment: employees are young so, a lot of petty, high-school drama & some coworkers very gossipy
- Very LOW discount
- Short breaks
- HIGH turnover, employees never stay long, unless they have potential for manager or visual
Advice to Senior Management – - Give more POSITIVE feedback to your employees. Believe me, they appreciate it!
- Don't play favorites. Employees will definitely notice.
* My personal experience w/some managers was great. If you have an honest conversation with them, they'll listen. Just give them a good reason to feel that your opinion counts. Don't call off a lot, have GOOD time and attendance, and show that you're a team player. You'll get hours, then.

Former Employee – worked at Forever 21 full-time
Pros – Great product at great prices, continued company growth and expansion,
Cons – Inexperienced people in high level positions creates problems when you are more experienced then your boss. Pay and benefits are low compared to other specialty retailers. No work life balance. Employee is not the first priority. Ever changing corp structure some good people get lost in the shuffle.
Advice to Senior Management – If you appreciated and compensated your great employees they would stay.

Former Employee – worked at Forever 21 part-time for less than a year
Pros – Young crowd
Easy to get a job as a Sales Associate
Opportunity to work long hours if you need to
Discount on already cheap clothing
Cons – High turnover rate for managers
The store gets extremely messy, on busy days be prepared to be there until 1am cleaning up and putting clothes away (store closed at 9)
You have to clock in and take breaks at specific times or it's "three strikes and you're out"
Advice to Senior Management – Try to reduce the turnover rate for store managers in order to keep things more organized
