I have been working at Fujitsu Network Communications full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Good knowledge experience, methodical way of working, process oriented, you get to work on most recent technologies, no maintainance work, Salary at par with Market

    Cons

FNC is still not a legal entity in India. You will be employed under Fujitsu Consulting India Ltd (FCIL) which is a services company. Policy framework belongs to FCIL which follows services policy framework and not product company framework. Hence policies are far from satisfactory.

People employed by FNC in India needs to work with their outsourcing vendors wipro and Aricent. FNC India does not have its own office. At the moment they are sitting in Wipro Campus. There are plans though to come out of Wipro campus.

As of now they plan to operate from Chennai only.

Overall FNC India is still a work in Progress. But overall a good to have professional experience

I have been working at Fujitsu Network Communications full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

The people are excellent. Many folks have been at Fujitsu for a long time. Work-life balance is good and encouraged. Benefits are ok. Large Tier 1 customers keep the machine turning. Backed by one of the world's largest Information Communication Technology companies out of Japan, Fujitsu Limited.

    Cons

Fujitsu sustains its reputation on not being first to market but highest in quality. But not being first to market and having a narrowing solution set is taking its toll on market share. The focus has been on flat to declining technology market segments. Five or six years ago there was a major shift in the industry that Fujitsu missed out on. Now there is another and it remains to be seen if Fujitsu can execute on its plans for this latest shift. Fujitsu understands the changing market place and has good strategies to back it up. Strategy has not been an issue. Execution of strategy remains a challenge.

I worked at Fujitsu Network Communications full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Good pay, family friendly. By and large the people I worked with good people.

    Cons

Incestuous corporate culture. Everything you say, do, buy and sell must be with other Fujitsu companies. Clueless or gutless on how to run a business in America. Extremely cowardly leadership interested only in self preservation and image. I was with the company for close to two decades and now that I'm out it's glaringly apparent how bad the leadership was in this company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get out from under the thumb of the mothership and run the company like any other American company. Otherwise, you will be closing your doors in the next five years. Pay and benefits are great - however, these are the two least favored attributes of the most successful companies for which people want to work.

I have been working at Fujitsu Network Communications

    Pros

    Good Work-life balance.
    Decent Pay.
    No excessive stress!

    Cons

No growth prospects and no defined career development plan.
    Extremely slow development cycles.
    Not much innovation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Implement 1, 2, 5 year vision plan and come up with products ides before the competition.
Ratio of planning+PMO team is way too large than development team.
