Cons – Somewhat decentralized. Corporate has to work hard to influence facilities in a quick and meaningful way.
Advice to Senior Management – The mission of Genesis is a key driver for those in leadership roles. When management stays focused on the mission, it's easy to motivate employees and ultimately make a difference in the lives of others.

Pros – Ability to work with true professionals in their field. First rate equipment. Lots of overtime available.
Cons – Heavy patient load. Poor scheduling of aides, especially on weekends.
Advice to Senior Management – Better time management of employees especially while scheduling.

Pros – I worked for Genesis in the business office for two years. I subbed at many different locations in my region. It was a fine atmosphere to work in although healthcare can be challenging.
Cons – During my time at Genesis I saw many employees come and go. It was somewhat daunting to have to meet new staff but thats how it goes in 247/365 work spaces.

Cons – Not sure how a 22 year old with minimal experience can effectively manage a skilled rehab unit.
Advice to Senior Management – RNs who want to be treated with respect and work with a manageable caseload will leave almost as soon as you can get them in the door. Why? Because you expect 12 hours of work in 8 hours.
