I have been working at H&M full-time

Prosfriendly co-workers, supportive management, you learn a lot. It's very fast paced so you got to be a great multitasker, good with stressful situations. A lot of standing for long hours,

Conspoor salary, difficult to progress, strict policies: DON'T BE LATE!!!!!! they are very strict with time management they do not tolerate tardiness

I have been working at H&M full-time for more than 3 years

ProsExcellent pay, opportunity for growth, and amazing benefits.

ConsHostile work environments due to poor management. The U.S. stores have lost the great values the company was founded with since it was brought overseas, such as being a flat-level company and caring more about the well-being of the employees than the money that needs to be made. It has turned into a mercenary American corporation.

Advice to Senior ManagementRe-read the policy handbook, thoroughly. Furthermore, regardless of how much the company encourages us to be ourselves, a balance between comfort and professionalism needs to be found.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

I worked at H&M full-time for more than 3 years

ProsCompany is overall a good company to work for. You can move up with the company if you work fast and can multitask but you have to be very vocal about your goals with the company.

ConsNo life. If you are full time sales advisor be ready to work and not complain.

Great experience and a good company to work for!

Sales Advisor (Current Employee)
Pittsburgh, PA (US)

I have been working at H&M part-time for more than a year

ProsFlexible scheduling, great staff and great company values. You get paid for meetings, and paid day off on your birthday.

ConsMost stores are usually busy and customers run through store dismantling the clothes and accessories. Holiday hours and season are long and tiring. Only some room for advancement depending on how often you work and how long current staff has been there.

Good benefits, busy busy store

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

I have been working at H&M

Prosfast, high energy work, customers love fashion and bargains (you should too.) If you're independent and used to following up on things, this is the place for you!

ConsMost of the time there are not enough employees working which leads to you being shifted in a ton of different directions. ( its not for everyone.)

Advice to Senior ManagementSmile, promote high energy during store hours.
