Former Employee – worked at Hays plc full-time for less than a year
Pros – Okay salary for a new graduate. Good benefits.
Cons – Standard practices were not followed - workers were sent into hospitals uncompliant, which meant that they did not provide the correct documentation to work (g passport, proof of address, references from past jobs). In a way, this equates to potentially a dangerous person having access to patient records. The management was poor -- a lot of the training was left down to an associate consultant. This resulted in mixed messages being thrown around about how to do a certain task.
Advice to Senior Management – Stick to the rules in order to prevent the law being broken and do not allow novices to train new starters.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Former Employee – worked at Hays plc full-time for less than a year
Pros – Good initial training
Real possibility to make a lot of money
Culture can be fun - but very male-oriented
Cons – Trapped in a monthly cycle
Never make as much as they promise you
Management shuffles are constantly occurring
Plateau after 6 months, very little development after that.
Huge Attrition rate of staff (circa 60% a year in some teams)
Advice to Senior Management – Listen to the employees more
Give a new strategy a little time before changing again.
Implement a real quarter by quarter career development plan

Current Employee – been working at Hays plc full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – Worked with some great people when I first joined who realized things were going downhill and left.
Cons – Currently managed by some monkeys who dont have a clue on what theyr doing. Dumping all the costs into CAPEX from OPEX is not reducing the overheads. A bunch of con artists currently running the company into the ground and milking it for everything its worth.
Advice to Senior Management – Get somebody to manage IT who actually have some technical knowledge.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
