Nothing great about IBM

Applications Architect (Current Employee)
Bangalore

I have been working at IBM full-time for more than a year

Pros- Lots of experienced people to work with. Can learn lot of things.
- Work from home available (Not in every project)
- Offers good salary package but its a strategy to catch employee.
- Has good brand name.Which can earn you some respect.

Cons- Almost No Hikes.
- No framework to identify talented employees.Open ur mouth and do ur advertising. Here its called branding and networking.
- No review meeting happening ,not even for namesake.
- Goal setting and performance review is just a nonsense. For most of the employees it never happens.
- You can be transferred to any part of India if projects are not available in your base location.Be ready.
- If you are in domestic, forget onsite.Confirm it before you join.

Advice to Senior Management- Read Cons
- Company need talented employees to make profit.Else it sinks. No matter how big it may be !

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
