    Pros

You get to be YOU while working with a diverse group of co-workers. Even if you have different ideas, you'll learn to work with a team either to comfortably compromise or to lead the team in the direction that you want. There are also opportunities for horizontal career moves as well as vertical career moves within the company. The international network is exceptional.

    Cons

Cons that can be deemed as Pros too : Flat hierarchical structure. It's a down to earth company, job title is not priority. So if you simply want to move up the ladder, there aren't many rungs! But that does not mean that there are limited opportunities. You need to know what you want, work for it and be determined not to give up.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Remember that Job applicants can be your goodwill (or badwill) ambassadors too. Sometimes IKEA employees (or ex-employees) will move from country to country. Inadvertent comparisons will happen and will be passed on.
