    Pros

The abundance of technology at your every beck and call. Awesome support system. Pay is tolerable.

    Cons

Not as much training as I would have expected, but they are sure that you know what you need in order to do your job well.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

At least pay what the median is in each state. The cost of living annual raise that you get doesn't mean much.

    Pros

Interacting with the students and student support staff. The success of ITT Tech. is dependent on student success. Those at ITT Tech ensure that all efforts are made to fulfill the students expectations.

    Cons

One of the challenges that I see is some of the students do not take the education process seriously. This has to change and I find it to be an ever pressing matter.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

In order for the instructors to succeed a realistic set of goals and expectations should be communicated to ALL involved parties.

    Pros

Salary is decent at average of $35k to $40k a year. Schedule, and set up High School presentations as a recruiter, and capture the attention of students who are already portraying interest in furthering their education. FU and invite them and their parents to school and tour them and sell them on attending the school. Once interested, you pass them on to the testing area, and onto the next school and same o same o. Half in office, half in field, indepent for most part.

    Cons

Salary only, no extra incentives. (PERSONAL EXPERIENCE Some managers can micro manage and ruin your chance at feeling comfortable. They tend to hire drill instructor types to be managers, so tread carefully. If you receive Top Outside sales representative for the whole district, they can lose your record of employment and your earnings that show it , so I recommend holding on to anything they give you, because they wont. If your supervisor mistreats you and you try to go over their head to complain, they find out about and make your office life a living hell. Then when you give a two weeks notice, you look like the bad guy and they conveniently lose your award. Not everyone is like this, but this was a major con to a position I loved the best, and was unable to keep, or return to. )

    Pros

Loved working with the students, loved my coworkers. The staff and faculty genuinely care about the students.

    Cons

Management is very disorganized. Unfortunately it seems the company itself only cares about the money. Terrible atmosphere, not encouraging or positive from upper management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Restructure your staff so that good employees are not lost. Listen to your employees without threatening them with termination. Care about your students.

    Pros

I had a great manager, loved my job, and was given ample freedom to grow and create better training and opportunitites for students within my position.

    Cons

Corporate Management are nothing but money-grabbing, morally bankrupt thugs that don't give one iota about providing students with the eduction worth the exhorbitant price tag.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Leave and have yourselves replaced with sales professionals who are also seasoned educators. Stop cutting vital services to students in lieu of bigger management paychecks. Suggest that Kevin Modany take half od his nine million a year paycheck and acyually put it back into the school.

    Pros

I enjoyed helping people improve their lives by getting a degree and increasing job opportunities and income potential.

    Cons

What have you done for me lately? You will be kicked to the curb if you don't meet your goals which have become very hard to reach lately . Your goals will go up year after year even though the industry is in a downward spiral and enrollments are down year after year. Eventually you will not be able to maintain your goals and they will terminate you.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make sure to treat your loyal and productive employees good.

Adjunct faculty concerns, and educational outcome of students, seem to be of little importance to corporation.

    Pros

Some students are motivated to learn. Some faculty are caring and want to genuinely help improve lives of students.

    Cons

Students do not have advisers to help them make decisions about their education or help them with life issues. It is hard to enjoy teaching when you know that many of your students should be reconsidering their decision to get degree at ITT-Tech. This school is not the best fit for most students. But full time company employees are sales people, and only path students are encouraged to follow is more and more classes at ITT-Tech. Classes are $2000 per quarter, yet curriculum that instructors are pressured to follow is poorly written. Students in advanced classes typically have not mastered material in prerequisite classes, so they struggle to comprehend new material. Almost any criteria you can think of for good adjunct faculty job is not met here; cons are too many to list.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Put priority on education.
