I worked at ITT Technical Institute

    Pros

Management was very helpful and didn't micromanage.

    Cons

The drafting & design department consisted of engineering, interior design, and graphic design majors. That required too much information to effectively train all of those majors in one classroom.

I worked at ITT Technical Institute as a contractor (more than an year)

    Pros

    Great teamwork with the faculty.

    Cons

Students were often the driving force behind faculty reviews in that if a student was unhappy with their grades then the faculty member was let go. Students were not held to the standards that they were told at the beginning of the term.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Follow the standards laid out at the beginning of term, and if a student complains because an instructor holds their feet to the fire, investigate prior to letting go the instructor.

I worked at ITT Technical Institute full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

    Pays a good starting salary
Established company with opportunities for growth.

    Cons

It is pure, GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS (James Foley, 1992)-type selling, with quotas, cutthroat competition, propaganda to get you excited about it, and promotions based entirely on your ability to sell. You call everybody ten times a day, as are all of your competition, so when you actually get somebody to answer the phone (which is tough, because they're ducking you), they despise you already. I didn't care for it, as you can probably tell, but I just don't have the personality for it. My best friend from there does, however, and so she is ranked as "Master Rep 4," making plenty of money. If you're a seller, go for it. If not, look for a regionally accredited school like National University to applied to if you want to get involved in this kind of education. National does not pay as much, but the product and the work expectations are hundreds of times better, IMO

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be all about your desire to sell and ability not to take "no" for an answer.
