An Ok company to work for, if career growth isn't an objective

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

    ProsEarly adopters of technology
Always looking for options to push new products and new technology to clients
Pay package, while not the best, isn't too bad
    Value awards
    Presidents dinners
    Good engagement with technology partners
Good support for family, though not necessarily work life

ConsCareer Management is almost zilch from a management point of view, unless you want to take the bull by the horns so to speak
Very very sales driven, even non-sales departments
Very rigid in terms of policies
Very difficult to get through to upper management

Advice to Senior ManagementAlthough there is an open door policy in principle with top management, it is very selective, and only people who know them personally can get access.
Top Management doesnt realise that down at the lower echelons often are the back bone of the company

Lots of potential, however no Sales accoutability, paying half the industry commission rate will keep them mediocre!

    Solutions Sales Executive (Former Employee)

    ProsLots of things to sell!

ConsPoor work life balance, too many management changes, middle management is afraid to speak up and manage in fear of losing thier jobs. Poor at dividing territories to gain better market penetration, management will keep accounts vs doing what is best for the company. Many salary plan changes over the past 3 years which has been a continual downgrade.

Advice to Senior ManagementGet smart hold the AE's and Middle managment accountable for growing sales portfolio's, Many reps have accounts they do not work or call on, ie just passing electronic orders. Take away the bottom accounts from every rep, hire new reps on the commision that is already being paid out and penetrate the market.

ConsOffice politics, no raises for a few years and when they did give a raise it was well below the average of other companies.

Advice to Senior ManagementResearch into merits and pay for employees.

    Insight is getting better

Marketing Manager (Current Employee) Tempe, AZ (US)

ProsAt HQ in Tempe, most of the teammates are very helpful. There are many fun activities.
New PM and Marketing Management are upgrading tools so people can be more efficient.
In those departments starting to provide more training and more career opportunities.
Management open about goals and direction.

ConsPay scale is low and health benefits are not good.
No on-going sales training and no accountability in sales.

Advice to Senior ManagementDevelop consistent goals across organization. Each partner has goals with no tie to sales expectations.
In PM, encourage cooperation instead of competition between teams.
Continue to provide career training and opportunities.

    Survival of the FIttest

Inside Sales (Current Employee) Tempe, AZ (US)

ProsGood Entry Level with opportunity to make good money if you find the golden ticket

ConsSales process is still in building phase which can sometimes make it difficult to endure through the process.

Advice to Senior ManagementBuild value in the employees that don't want to remain complacent instead of firing and hiring at more cost someone new to train and go through the full process all over again. Build a culture of employees that don't fear being replaced by the next new thing.

    Sales

Sales (Current Employee) Tempe, AZ (US)

ProsEveryone seems to think grass is greener somewhere else, it's not. The job is challenging no doubt but the upside is great

ConsAlways changing strategy, too much. I get it thought , they are trying to innovate and move with industry. There are cons on everything if you look hard enough. Overall the company wants to do well.

Advice to Senior ManagementLots of ppl there for a long time not carrying weight. AE there for 15 years and never hits quota? Why are they still there?

Good company (for Phoenix) as it is one of only a handful of Fortune 500 in Phoenix

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Tempe, AZ (US)

ProsAbove average pay, nice friendly work environment, benefits are improving (slowly), leadership is trying to get it right, emerging cloud environment may pay dividends, management is focused on improvement

ConsWeak 401(k) match - only 25% match up to 6% of pay, 2-3% merit increases isn't going to cut it, need to scale merit increases on a value based system, inconsistent work from home policies from dept. to dept., C-level executives are paid too much (like many places) and not held accountable

Advice to Senior ManagementNeed to focus on simplifying processes, employee retention,
