I have been working at Intel Corporation as a contractor for more than a year

    Pros

You will get to learn new technologies.
    Very Friendly Co-workers
    Nice Work Culture.
Very good for permanent people with good benefits and life - work balance.

    Cons

    Pathetic for contractors.
No respect. Pay less for cw.
No benefits, No invitation for Company's annual function, event or any program ,team outing or team lunch organised by a company for Contractors.
Sometimes not even included for project meeting with client and upper management though you work in the same team and project.
They separate CWs and Permanent employees on the basis on Badges.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management should think about Contractors or don't hire people from other company and dis-respect them.

I worked at Intel Corporation full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

The work culture is comfortable and you have plenty of resources e.g. trainings to your disposal so that you can be on top technological advancements.

    Cons

Too many hierarchies and the growth path seems verrrrryyyy long! Also sometimes the incentives are too strongly attached to business unit performance and the individual contribution is not taken into account at all.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The management would need do a faster adaptation of the fact that PC business is slowing down and they need to re-focus on mobility.

I have been working at Intel Corporation full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Can work on top technologies, and there is a good chance to make an impact. The company has very good values. There is good work-life balance in the company.

    Cons

A large organization, moves slowly. Needs to be more nimble in the software category. Pay is average, but there are other benefits. Less number of job grades, so promotions are slow. Teams usually consist of few very good people and mostly average folks.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Though the overall benefits package is marketed to be comparable, the salary is lesser than competitors. Teams need to be smaller with more ownership to move faster. Too many competing teams leads to politics and delays. There is competition across different geos without considering the company benefit as a whole.
