    Pros

Company cares for the employees as people.

    Cons

Low pay, work load not always evenly distributed. Management has a hard time letting some people go that need to be let go because of family connections.

    Advice to Management

    Show appreciation more to associates.

  2. Great company to start a career and gain experience in your field.

    Pros

The people. Good place to get your feet wet. Owners seem like great humble people.

    Cons

Low pay, no opportunity to move up or make more money. Leadership communication with teams needs some help. Work load is not equal to pay.

    Advice to Management

Pay your employees more so they won't leave for better opportunities.

  3. Good for new graphic designers fresh out of college.

    Pros

Good company values. Trains employees well on company policies and provides learning courses. Keeps programs/technologies up-to-date.

    Cons

Promotions are provided, only if willing to move to another state.

    Advice to Management

Could do a little more to engage employees to boost moral and motivation to do well.

    Pros

Working at Ivie has been the best move for me! From my on boarding experience to the company tour that included having the opportunity to stop by their offices to meet the family members was such an awesome feeling. I felt like I've made the right decision going on 3 years and continually feel that Ivie has been a great platform for my career. Talk about culture! Wow! I am floored with all the neat things and benefits they have to offer. Many of the associates are team players and to be honest are a little crazy but in a good way! They promote a vibrant , fun type of energy.

    Cons

FM office is located in a growing new district .You would think they would make upgrades as far as decor; more contemporary style in my opinion. Investing in new updated phones would help as well.

    Advice to Management

Continue to motivate and listen to your teams!

    Pros

Ability to work with big clients on a wide range of projects.
    Family values.
Willing to take risks in new avenues of business opportunity.
Good people & fun atmosphere in most departments.
    Good work ethic.

    Cons

Pay is a little below average.
    Inconsistent promotion practices.
Making promises to clients without setting realistic expectations and depending on employees to make up the difference.

    Pros

    overall positive environment, decent pay

    Cons

Presented jobs to new employee group with new client and made it seem like it would be long term. Told large group it was a full-time role even if they lost the client. They said they'd work hard to place people inside company somewhere else. When the client cutback, they didm't even try to place people elsewhere. They just laid almost every onw off.

    Advice to Management

don't be deceitful in how you preset jobs.

    Pros

People are friendly, not a ton of drama. You can wear jeans. Free coffee that tastes like burned rubber. (<-- There's a 20 word min for pros.)

    Cons

Don't expect to ever get paid market value. If you are satisfied with a low-stress work environment for little pay this is the place for you.

If you sleep with someone or get into the "inner-circle" of popular associates you'll probably get promoted, regardless of productivity or merit. Also, family members can be direct reports in the director/executive level. sketchy.

    Advice to Management

Training is almost nonexistent, most likely because that would create reason to promote, which would cost money, which Ivie doesn't like to spend towards salaries. New cars though, well, there is a new $100k car every few months parked upfront in spot # 1.

    Pros

Company culture is great, but only when you're at the Flower Mound office.

    Cons

High turnaround, very quick to lay off employees when a client wants to reduce a team.

    Advice to Management

Just do your best in the project you're assigned, and you will be complimented by the client. It's best for you to ask your designated art director/copywriter/project manager directly if they need anymore help.

    Pros

    Employees are your friends
    Work-life balance is great
    Decent pay

    Cons

Empty promises, unless you're a new hire.
    Cubicle life.
Only allowed to wear jeans on Fridays.
    Doesn't offer a creative envoronment.

    Advice to Management

Take complaints about other management seriously. It would be a nice change of pace for mgmt to take care of their employees as well as we take care of clients.

Senior Management is incapable. Culture is a facade executives hide behind.

    Pros

Work with some large retail corporations

    Cons

~Senior management is arrogant, out of touch, most are above 50 and all are close friends of the executives
~From start to finish, projects are managed in a completely chaotic, random and unprofessional manner
    ~Raises are non-existent--unless you consider a cost-of-living raise sufficient
~There is a pseudo-culture that is forced down the brain-washed lower-level employees throats. Those of us who are educated and knowledgeable can see right through it.
~All account management/client services employees are located on site with the clients so there is a huge disconnect between the employees who serve the clients and the production, creative, procurement, etc. This is "sold" by the company as a benefit but the ball is constantly dropped due to this model.
~Career path and upward movement is non-existent

    Advice to Management

Take a lesson from the other agencies--they are thriving for a reason. Don't put all your proverbial eggs in one basket. When you loose that "big" client, to which all your efforts go, you'll be nothing more than a shop for all the small grocery chains lean on for their weekly ads.
