It's a good place to work if you want everyday pay from what you worked in, instead of waiting every week.

I worked at Labor Ready full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

As customer service representative working with people who really appreciate getting a job.

    Cons

Very inadequate on the job training. All technical training was done on line thru TRUE BLUE UNIVERSITY and very time consuming. No compliments or reviews by management. Pay too low because of split shifts, variable hours and on call too much.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Appreciate employe more and communicate more. Raise pay.

    Cons

The lack of positions available increased the difficulty of providing permanent employment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It would be nice to provide more permanent positions.

    Cons

I have been working at Labor Ready

    Pros

Once hired, arrive everyday 10 min. before the office opens as assignments are parceled out first-come first-served. You are paid the day your assignment is completed. When cash is short between permanent positions, this is pretty important.

    Cons

Be sure to ask for any safety equipment which ought to be offered to you for the assignment you're be sent out on, i.e. back brace (lifting), eye protection, gloves, etc.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Anyone can perform general labor, send out associates based upon the order in which they've arrived for work.

I have been working at Labor Ready full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Missed seeing couple of friends while at Goodwill. I used to call the place my workout arena. Had customers of different backgrounds that I always look up to see and talk to while stocking shelves or at the door making my day an enjoyous one.

    Cons

Changing of Managers-Because of the need to reprove yourself time after time again. Meaning restructuring of said duties.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I Thought I was doing okay, because I had already gained three steps upwards by previous Mgmt. only to be shut down all the way to like starting all over again!
