    Pros

Give liberty to Achieve the results. You learn to work on your own.

    Cons

No clarity and guidance from seniors. The seniors are low achievers. There is too much of politics in this company. People who are a part of the coterie get promotions and high increments. Not able to retain talented people.

I have been working at Lafarge

    Pros

Many international opportunities. Also, working in world leader within that field, and employees have a high level of knowledge and skill

    Cons

Work hours are long, and there is an overall culture of putting in more hours than necessary, without added benefits. Work life balance needs some review.

Former Employee - Marketing Senior in Dubai (United Arab Emirates)

I worked at Lafarge full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Lafarge in the UAE was an exciting place to be. As with most every large company, there are downsides to being so big, but there are also upsides--such as training and development, many benefits, and the chance to interact with smart people everywhere.
I joined while the company was still in the start-up phase in the UAE, the management team was very supportive and it created an immediate sense of belonging.. to the Lafarge family.

    Cons

    Long procedures before decision making!
Lack of middle management communication channels.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    More interaction with shop-floor.
Review cost cutting strategies (expenses of main office vs. sites.)

    Recommends
    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
