Former Employee – worked at Manpower full-time for less than a year
Pros – Great team, good boss, work-life balance. The workshops and sessions held were relevant and helped me grasp market knowledge and dynamics.
Cons – Employee engagement could be stepped up. Cross functional interaction was only informal over lunch, friends hanging out, etc.
Advice to Senior Management – Allocate some more budgets to employee welfare activities, if possible

Former Employee – worked at Manpower
Pros – Till June 2008,
the most cohesive and performance oriented teams in the country (600+) consultants
Highly Aspiration Team and learned superiors to lead the business.
Cons – Post 2008,
The Most destructing management ever - the employee strength fell from 150 to 20 in 1.5 yrs (till 2010) in Mumbai.
New Management that came in between 2007 to 2009 was highly revenue oriented as if one is selling sim cards - the dynamics of human capital business could never be understood
Advice to Senior Management – Please get back all your old people and come back with a punch! The company in India had the best team ever.

Cons – Limited growth opportunity depending on manager.
Advice to Senior Management – Wonderful company with a great team overall. I would advise that line managers keep the wishes of their employees in mind when considering growth opportunities.

Former Employee – worked at Manpower full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Some very good people to good with IF either they or you stick around for the long term. Pay seems to be higher than similar jobs.
Cons – No long term strategy for IT, the current phase is reduce and outsource what little is left from the last outsourcing. No cohesiveness or standards for anything globally, 83 separate fiefdoms, little to no cooperation between country IT organizations, everyone worried about protecting their piece of the pie.
Advice to Senior Management – Drop the catchy phrases and Industry Star stuff, no one is really sure what that means or how it will be obtained. Become a true Global company with standardization and some common systems rather than a federation of country entities.
