People just wait for severance...Not much left in the company now....especially Bangalore site

Lead Software Engineer (Current Employee)
Bangalore

I have been working at Motorola Mobility full-time for more than 5 years

Pros1. good severance package is biggest pros for which people are not leaving the company
2. work from home
3. good policies

Cons1. Total dissatisfaction among the employees, no rewards, full politics.
2. Technical skills are totally died in managers. They are just waiting for severance.
3. Managers are totally blind and incompetent and same is the reason for downfall.

Advice to Senior Management1. Change the severance policy in India and just watch what happens !!
2. Try to understand the problems of lowest level engineers who actually run the show.
3. The abstraction layer of manager between senior leadership and real engineer is very very dirty here, they just play dirty politics around.

Great place to work - less growth opportunities

Patent Engineer (Current Employee)
Gurgaon, Haryana

I have been working at Motorola Mobility full-time for more than a year

ProsExcellent work culture, decent pay package for freshers, freedom to work independently, flexible timings, no politics, employee friendly policies

Consslow growth, flat hierarchy (it takes several light years to move to next designation), pathetic reward system (you can say zero rewards), work is monotonous

Advice to Senior ManagementPlease re-work on your reward system and try to provide promotions not based on number of years but based on the quality of work and other factors.
