Great people, interesting work, good development of talent, purely focused on money.

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

I worked at NBCUniversal

ProsGreat people. NBC hires very well.
They also train up well, grooming people for the next level.

ConsThey are beholden to their stock holders, which means some decisions may not make sense from a productivity, staffing or best practice standpoint, but it squeezes out a little more money and so gets done.

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep hiring well, keep training well. Listen to your employees.

It's not the place it used to be

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
New York, NY (US)

I worked at NBCUniversal full-time for more than 7 years

ProsCo-workers are nice, especially those who were there for a long, long time

ConsManagement level directly below CEO focus solely on themselves and have little regard for their employees. It's no longer the employee oriented place it used to be.

Advice to Senior ManagementEncourage senior level managers to be more aware of all of their employees and not just the friends they poached from other firms. Become more of a team oriented company again, not one where executives approach their employees as "us and them"

ProsHR Benefits and company match are generous.
