    I worked at NBCUniversal

    Pros

The history, location and level of talent is a wonderful asset to the company. Walking into the building every day is always exciting with so much activity going on. NBC is high-profile with so many great people to learn from. You work on high-caliber shows.

    Cons

Micro-managers! Corporate feel! Everything got worse when Comcast took over. Morale is very low. You always look over your shoulder hoping you're not included in the next round of layoffs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make your employees feel appreciated for so much hard work. It is a very stressful environment and people are so passionate about what they do. It doesn't take much to say "thank you for your hard work" or "we appreciate you". A little goes a LONG way to make employees happy and want to work even harder.

I have been working at NBCUniversal as a contractor for more than 5 years

    Pros

the fame and brand of NBC. your resume will look good with NBC on it. competitive pay rate for old union jobs.

    Cons

I don't even know where to begin.
can'te been with the company for 7 years now.
I'm now a daily hire and for some pepole that might be a new term that you never heard before. NBC is a huge company and over the years they just want to go cheaper and cheaper in terms of salary and in everyway.
there are so many departments so I can't speak for all those departments but many are corrupted, meaning managers are useless and they just keep creating meaningless and useless higher management positions when they cut down on actual working class.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Most employee thinks managements are useless. please do something that works and stop playing the game of throne.
