Difficult to stay for long here

    Applications Engineer (Current Employee) Bangalore

    ProsAlmost no restrictions on internet.
Stable Job. Hardly anybody is fired.

ConsPerks not up to market standards.
Outdated tools. Technology uptake is very slow.
Work life balance is not so good as is generally perceived for Oracle.
No hike. Hike is like for few in hundreds. Attrition is high due to this.

Advice to Senior ManagementA nominal hike keep employees motivated.
More interaction of higher management with developers should be there.

Good place to work and settle but no hikes and bonus

Senior Software Engineer (Current Employee) Bangalore

ProsFlexibility of timing and work-from-home options help provide a good work-life balance
Team members are very co-operative, and since most of them have stayed with the company for very long, you will get a lot to learn from them about the product.
    No micro management from managers
Company values and HR policies are good
Stay here and work if you have a family to tend to!

ConsNot a place for freshers and ambitious people,
mostly work on support development as new projects are always handled by the US folks
    No Travel
    No compensation hikes and bonus
    No career growth

Advice to Senior ManagementManagement is confused about portraying the skillset about its indian emplyoyees. Just accepting all support jobs and no new projects. Speak up for the strengths of your team with the higher management in US and get good development projects.
As long as there is only support development, and no hikes and bonus, attrition will be high! It has reduced the quality of work and the company's popularity in India. This is very discouraging that management is not bothered about the employees career growth.

    OFSS

Managing Principal Consultant (Current Employee) Pune

Prosgood work life balance, good middle & junior management, good brand name, good pay to laterals, good onsite opportnities, good pay when on onsite assignments

Consopaque culture, Senior management, no hikes for years, no salary correction, I moved to onsite assignment for 1.5 years and upon return salary was barely increased, I was told I missed an appraisal cycle and would be corrected in next cycle.
There was no appraisal/hikes the next year, HR has no clue, Oracle has ruined i-flex.

Advice to Senior ManagementHave timely, appraisals, hikes, salary revisions should include arrears.
