Current Employee – been working at Pall full-time for more than a year
Pros – Few great people to work with.
Cons – Good experience if your next career plan is to sell mobile phone SIM cards.
Management, especially in India, work without any integrity. Sales incentive plan (SIP) is set based on unreasonable targets.
Skills, recognition, motivation, understanding of goals, and the ability to measure progress etc. are alien to the managers. All sales and performance credit goes to your manager.
There is a high level of dissatisfaction among the sales managers in India regarding their remuneration packages. So, you can imagine how difficult it would be to haggle over annual salary increment when the frustration is high among the managers themselves.
Even the managers and business unit heads based overseas managing the sales and business developments in India are mean and indulge in politics at the expense of their colleagues in India.
Only a few sales / marketing managers - regional and global - who can play organizational politics are still sticking around with the company. They will continue to be with the company because they cannot not find a job else where.
Don’t get into this trap. You will all regret the time you wasted at Pall India.
Advice to Senior Management – No advice to the management in India. You have not changed anything in so many years; you cannot change anything.

Current Employee – been working at Pall full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Benefits can be better than in other places
Cons – If you are looking at these reviews to help make a decision between this and another company, my advice is to take the other company's offer.
If you are seeking an engineer position, your workload will be crazy and your results probably won't please the management. Don't be surprised if you are given trainings in 6Sigma, SPC, etc & are still treated like a half-wit.
If you are interested in a manager position, you will need skin like a hippopotamus. You will also be buried with work and have maybe one person to delegate simple tasks to. Most of your time will be spent in meetings, and you will be held accountable for all the work not done because you are constantly in meetings.
There is nowhere to go and no advancement opportunity here. Outsiders are brought in to fill higher spots and those who wanted to work their way up have to leave to make it happen.
If you applied for production operator, I hope you like finding out on Friday that you're expected to work a weekend day too so the schedule can catch up! On the plus side, you just need to follow directions, keep your head down and don't hurt yourself doing something dumb.
Advice to Senior Management – Upper management is the smartest group that the world has ever known. They can solve every problem perfectly and if you are wise you will learn why you are so wrong all the time. Their cup is full, there is nothing to tell them.

Former Employee – worked at Pall full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – Lots of talented employees that really care about what they are doing.
Still offer some of the finest filtration and purification products in the world.
In many markets, Pall holds #1 market position.
Lots of smart and fun people!
Cons – The new CEO has been in place for 17 months and has yet to utter one word about a 'Vision' or what he sees for Pall's future beyond next quarter's numbers!! In his first weeks on board, he already "knew" everything and how he was going to fix it! If previous management already had a program in place, it must be wrong and needed to change. (classic 'Not Invented Here' syndrome). Number one objective is to bring in his buddies from previous companies to take over the Executive management positions. Next priority was lay off loyal and very dedicated employees, especially with too many years at Pall.
Employees have been through so many downsizing exercises that most people are trying to manage the workload of 2-3 jobs. Hours are endless if you attempt to keep up with doing those roles well.
Senior management is weak. So many people are frightened of losing their jobs, they have become "yes" men to Executive management even when the directive will obviously hurt business or production.
Politics, politics, politics. If you have no talent, but can tell a good story, kiss up and fool the new "Kingsley" management -- you are on your way up! The new management group has fired so many people with experience over 20 years that mistakes are being made out of sheer ignorance as to why the precaution was ever put in place. Don't try to explain it, they already "know" a better way!
There is so little respect and appreciation for employees. Announced yet again a week ago, that another team is losing there jobs so roles can be moved overseas to save money.
No one is watching the competition -- they are too busy playing politics, worrying over job security, implementing ridiculous management directives. Competitors and customers -- "Ain't nobody got time for that!"
Advice to Senior Management – To the Board of Directors: You are killing this company and all the employees that had dedicated so much of their lives to making it successful. To the Shareholders: Demand a vision -- where is this management team and BOD taking this company? The stock price goes up and down a couple of dollars in either direction over 52 weeks -- nothing new and nothing great. Demand better! Just keep in mind that even if the new CEO fails -- he still gets an $18 million pay-out.

Current Employee – been working at Pall full-time
Pros – You learn a lot at this company. Employees are frequently challenged to learn new programs, methods, procedures, etc. Never boring.
Cons – Extremely political. Brown Nosing has worked very well in some areas. Workload is excessive whoever you talk to. Burnout is common. Noone appears to care. It is very clear that everyone is dispensable. Very little value on employee contributions. The more you do the more you are asked to do. Rewards and increases are minimal. Poor program implementation has resulted in extreme confusion and chaos. Ethics and respect in the workplace is chanted by management, however there is very little respect demonstrated.
Advice to Senior Management – A little less talking and a bit more listening may improve ratings.

Former Employee – worked at Pall full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – beautiful office space, state-of-the-art building, convenient in-house cafeteria, company has finally implemented an electronic filing system which greatly improves productivity and saves a ton of time.
Cons – management does not offer growth within the company, company still in the dark ages regarding latest technologies and systems. management does not recognize accomplishments of each and every employee at this company. some people get away with spending all day texting and making personal phone calls while others are crucified for a minor error after producing a ton of work. this is definitely one place where it's not what you know but who you know.
Advice to Senior Management – treat all your employees fairly and as human beings. don't be afraid to recognize someone's achievements and give the ol' pat on the back--it goes a long way.

Former Employee – worked at Pall full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Lots of good people working there. Some very good resources available. Some of the technology is very good with good management running it. A good place for many people to start
Cons – Communication between upper management and the workforce could be much better. All too often unclear goals were set and then middle managers would unjustly lash out at subordinates. At times things were chaotic. One single Documentation system was being phased in, which is a critical thing, however it could be very frustrating to get even simple things done. Many workers had problems with the general disorganization of the place.
Advice to Senior Management – Give middle management more latitude in executing goals. Hold them accountable, but don't make them so afraid to fail that they never really accomplish much.
