I have been working at PepsiCo

    Pros

career opportunities, global brand recognition, values, not very hierarchical

    Cons

    not very transparent performance review

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to employees in individual sessions in confidence more often, and provide mentorship to all, not just the "stars". Mentorship should be with a skip level leader, not only one's direct superior.

Former Employee - Administrative Assistant in Eau Claire, WI (US)

I worked at PepsiCo full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Generous with sampling new product, company logo wear, and bonuses for the entire plant as a whole. Very flexible with work schedule and work provided a variety of tasks. This was anything but redundant work. Also had the greatest managers with many, many years of experience in their field with Pepsi.

    Cons

Amount of work was more than could be done in a typical 40 hour work week, but no overtime was allowed. Deadlines were very clear yet hard to meet due to the excessive amount of work to be completed.

I have been working at PepsiCo as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

Great leadership experience, sales experience and exposure to the daily operations that make this company thrive!

    Cons

No cons, honestly! This internship program is like no other in the country, they give you a real project that is a real problem in the company and provide you with the flexibility, resources, and knowledge to implement your own creative solution, hands on! They really value what your bring to the table and are enthusiastic about young talent in PepsiCo, they view you as the future of this Fortune 50 company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up the great work and your commitment to making the Pepsi Culture inclusive, supportive, and tightly bonded.

    On-boarding process went very well

Current Employee - Anonymous Employee  in  Chicago, IL (US)
Current Employee - Anonymous Employee in Chicago, IL (US)

I have been working at PepsiCo full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Being new, I don't know too much yet. The on-boarding process was fairly smooth. They did a good job with the orientation and my manager had everything ready to go to get me started day 1. The perks are great. Free oatmeal in the morning at the Plaza in Chicago, cheap on-site health club, etc.

    Cons

Everything is VERY corporate. There is a set way to do everything. Being new, it has been challenging to learn the right process and who the right people are to talk to. Some people take for granted that a newcomer may not know all the right procedures. LOTS of bizarre acronyms are used. They even joke about it in the orientation.
