    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to employees in individual sessions in confidence more often, and provide mentorship to all, not just the "stars". Mentorship should be with a skip level leader, not only one's direct superior.

I worked at PepsiCo full-time for less than a year

    Pros

higher than minimum wage, good benefits. If you can land a FT position. Next to impossible as it is mostly relatives.

    Cons

available for 24 hr shift work, Favoritism given to relatives and friends. Difficult for outsiders to get FT position. Break times too short for the amount of physical demands. They encourage you to speak up/out to supervisors, but if you do, they fire you for being too opinionated or adhereing to policies drilled in during orientation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Break times too short, not enough time to do what needs to be done on a break as you must roll off each time before re-entering again. You do not get proper muscle relaxation in 10-20 min. by the time you get to your locker, go to toilet, wash hands, walk to lunchroom or smoking area outdoors and several meters away from bulding, your time is up and you have not yet rested the muscles you were meant to rest. Is this not the purpose for breaks? to reduce injury and relieve lactic acid build up that causes muscle breakdown. Lots of WCB cases, should be putting up RED FLAGS..... why are you not asking yourselves "Why?" and so many booking off with short notice prior to shift. This would be reason enough to investigate and evaluate breaktime and floor forman for their attitude and behavior towards employees. Why are so many getting hurt or booking off so much? Orientation drills in safety and speaking up to supervisors and to adhere to these policies no matter what!. When speaking to supervisors about such policies and issues you get fired!
