    Pros

The people you get to work with are amazing. Passionate and dedicated staff who believe in the mission.

    Cons

Clinic staff are overworked and under paid. Constant restructuring makes the work environment unstable and leaves you wondering if you will be next. Not much room for internal growth and advancement, maybe one level but no career path. They don't seem to have respect for those that have been with the organization long term.

    Pros

Great learning experience, other employees are passionate and really care a lot about what they do

    Cons

Depending on what you do, you might have to be flexible with your hours, especially doing outreach. Obviously as an intern you don't get paid, but that is expected.

    Pros

The company is well-organized, there are opportunities to move between departments and it's generally a pleasant place to work.

    Cons

It's a huge organization and can be a bit corporate at times. There was an issue with one of the Senior Staff members in my department that was making the entire team unhappy and that staff member was finally let go once the VP who supervised her retired and a new VP was hired.

    Pros

    Amazing mission, passionate people, benefits

    Cons

Culture of fear, trickle down management, non-competitive pay, treat employees as a liability rather than asset

    Advice to Management

Actually practice an Open Door policy, as advertised, not use openness as an opportunity to put an X on someone's back. Offer competitive pay, especially for RHAs.

  9. Good mission and work environment
