PwC Kolkata , working here is Injurious to health !!!

Senior Consultant (Former Employee)
Calcutta

I worked at PwC full-time for more than a year

ProsThe only advantage what I could understand is that it carries a brand value (the name is similar to the parent company).

ConsI have worked in PwC Kolkata , Advisory SBU.

This was not even close to what I have expected working in a so called Big4 firm.

If you are a software developer, who plans to join here , please think twice before joining.

As a software developer you get to:
1. work as if there is no tomorrow. which basically means work would be assigned to you along with deadlines that you have to work 28 hours a day to meet.

2. witness what is called a panic situation, almost throughout the year

3. forget that you have a family

4. understand that if you cannot speak very good bengali (with your bosses) , you are a worthless fool.

Advice to Senior Management1. Please understand that there are people called 'Employees' who do the 'work' and that they are 'human beings' too.

2. Please do not make commitments to clients without understanding what he is asking

3. Please respect the fact that employees have a personal family life.

4. Please try to cultivate a friendly work environment in office, so that the people do not feel intimitated.
