    Pros

Health care was amazing and provided me with all the benefits to take care of my family. That's about it!

    Cons

Too many hours that caused me stress. However, I spoke up and I was able to reduce some of my hours, with the same pay.

    Advice to Management

First off, become an intern to acquire knowledge in your field. Then establish connections within the Company. It's overall a great company.

    Pros

Great people and benefits! Very interesting projects and challenges, and were always working on current or cutting edge technologies, both hardware and software.

    Cons

Too many managers that manage upward instead of addressing impediments that team members may have.

    Advice to Management

We need to be less top-heavy management wise, and start hiring talent that can execute.

    Pros

Lot of smart people willing to collaborate. Projects move at fast pace. Decisions are usually fast unless it is across divisions. Top Management is strategic, open, and no (known) scandals. Many top people are also easy to approach to. Lots of perks and some fun activities (if you have time to participate)

    Cons

Lot of hierarchy - too many directors/sr. directors etc. Earlier it was engineer heavy company, now it is is heavy management. This limits internal growth tremendously. Also unless some top management likes you, there is little scope for advancement. Work/life balance is only on the paper - some projects have insane work schedules and email floods your inbox and you are expected to respond "ASAP".

    Advice to Management

Need more trust on employees and active plan for work/life balance.

    Pros

Benefits, Health Insurance, 401K match are top class.

    Cons

If you enjoy working 24/7. Checking email at 11pm and starting your day with an 8am meeting, this is the place for you. More hours you put in, more success you will achieve. No mercy attitude towards a family person wanting a few stress-free days with family.

    Advice to Management

Try to make employees happy, they company will do better

    Pros

Stable company, great reputation. People outside Qualcomm knows the hectic work schedule (this mean, easy to get another job: pun)

    Cons

Lots of politics, Over-working schedule, good managers don't have time and not-so-good managers take away the credit of work

    Advice to Management

Do what you advocate, preach, or market. There should be synchronization between what you say and do. If company has "challenging" time, we get shocked to know you have decreased our bonus, existing employees count, hiring freeze, etc. YET you took out bonus x-times that of last year to $ aaa-bbb Million (for just 10 people)!!!
