I have been working at Qualcomm full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Great working experiences, smart people, great pay and benefits. Wonderful cross-functional support and teamwork. Exiting company to work for.

    Cons

Giant company = giant bureaucracy and limited scope. As far as your workplace experience, your mileage will vary, depending on what group you work in and who you work for. There are some wonderful leaders in upper mgt, and also some who really don't deserve to be there. Most higher ranking positions are increasingly filled externally, rather than promoting from within.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I consistently see poor decisions made by upper management and executives due to the fact that many of them do not understand the repercussions at the working level. In such a large company, executives can easily be removed from the reality and consequences of their decisions. This can be fixed through better information sharing through the ranks, as well as a commitment to internal promotions, rather than external hires into the higher ranking positions.
