Former Employee – worked at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals as an intern
Pros – It is a smaller pharmaceutical company, which allowed me the ability to regularly interact with vice presidents in meetings. This was a really unique opportunity to learn from them.
Cons – Tarrytown is a bit far from downtown NYC, commute from the city is long, but "do-able" with a good book. However, the company provides a free shuttle service from the train which is a nice option for commuters.

Former Employee – worked at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Easy to get a job. Recent stock price pop.
Cons – Inept middle management comprising of bored overweight people scared of each other like rats in a can. Upper management are in an ivory tower looking down on their peons. No vacation time, no sick days, benefits are below industry standard, pay is way below average. Inundated with useless initiatives , such as team-building exercises and other innovations circa 1980s.

Current Employee – been working at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals full-time for more than a year
Pros – Being a scientist at Regeneron is about as good as you can get. You have reasonable freedom to pursue questions of interest, terrific resources at your disposal and you're surrounded by very intelligent people all of whom are more than happy to collaborate and offer advice. It's a great team, the company is doing very well and, quite simply, it's one of the best places to work in science, period.
Cons – The only real con is the location, as the cost-of-living in Westchester is phenomenally high (especially if you wish to buy a house and settle) and this puts stress on lower-salaried employees. But the benefits you get are great and do make up for some of the cost-of-living concerns. Yes, there are periods of stress and pressure which come and go in cycles, but no more than you would get at any other job.
Advice to Senior Management – Don't ever sell the company. Regeneron is a wonderful place to work precisely because of its philosophy and science and we're proud to contribute to its success.

Current Employee – been working at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals
Pros – Regeneron is a perfect company for some one right out of the school for a research associate position(Bachelor's and Master''s level)
Cons – Not viable in the long run considering the cost of living in Westchester County, NY. Limited career growth for non phd's. Getting a promotion is really tough.
