    Pros

    Weekends off. Set schedule of work

    Cons

    No room to advance yearly raises are a joke. No incentives for long term employees

    Advice to Management

    Management is a joke. They passify the associates when they have a concern. Good ole boys club. Yes men

    Pros

    They provide most of the tools you need for your trade besides your scissors, free continuing education,room for growth of you work really hard

    Cons

    Pressure to get customers in and out especially if your in a busy salon,coupons and constant discounts, making you sell products and most of all having to answer phones,sign customers in and schedule appointments in the middle of your service.

    Advice to Management

    The salons would run a lot more smoothly with a receptionist and higher pay

    Pros

    Great job experience you can learn a lot because they do everything, health insurance, paid vacations, ok tips, enjoy working

    Cons

    Paper work, having to critique the People you work with which drama always follows, they play favorites, will never get a raise, work so hard to get nothing in return

    Advice to Management

    Get back to the customers and your stylest and pay them what they deserve

    Pros

    Flexible hours. Product and tools are supplied.

    Cons

    Paid on commission and it is very low. Starts out at 38% and can only go up to 43%. Must wear all black to work and there is no reimbursement for this inconvenience.

    Advice to Management

    Think about a higher commission so the turn over rate isn't so high.

    Pros

    Very good company to work for - I think the experience I had was based on the salon and district manager. I enjoyed working for both. The training consisted of watching videos. I worked hands-on as a stylist and helped with inventory, sales and answering phone calls. Benefits included a program where you earn points for discounted items through a specialty website. I ordered product and supplies and felt like I got really great deals. It wasn't too difficult to make commission (over hourly pay). I met some very interesting clientele! Continuing education and salon meetings were mandatory and our staff were paid for these things.

    Cons

    I think that since there were lots of walk-in clients, there tended to be "crazier" clientele. I met some very nice people, but also some very "different" types of people. There were a few senior or master stylists that "ran off" younger or inexperienced stylists. They did this through intimidation and were masterful at taking as many clients as they could. I never had a problem with these stylists, but really felt like they were unfair to other stylists. The salon atmosphere, at times, was negative and competitive.

    Pros

    Flexibility, work life balance, opportunity to change a lot of things that are out dated on the IT side.

    Cons

    very dysfunctional, poor communication, no one seems to know what is going on. When there are issues, they ignore them.

    Advice to Management

    Communication, better benefits and pay.

    Pros

    Super relaxed environment at least at my location, great for building your clientele.

    Cons

    Mia and Maxx (owned by Regis) closed 2 weeks after I started working there, got transferred to a Regis and that one closed 2 years after I started there. minimum pay, hardly any education. I did get a $250 dollar bonus after Regis closed though.

    Advice to Management

    If you want to charge above average prices, you should consider classes for your employees.

    Favoritism, horrible district leader, clueless managers, lies, deceipt, threats, dirty salons, etc....

    Advice to Management

    Clean up management, District and salons..
    Dont send people from corporate to threaten employees
    Pay your employees better
    Learn how to run a business
    Policies are vague and few

    Pros

    Great location & I love my guest they are the only reason I go to my salon!

    Cons

    Too many changes, my DL is a laughing joke with no backbone and no direction. She comes in and does the client tele "guest" from the salon she was promote out of. She does a lame salon image w me. A great puppet to the voice of Regis.

    Advice to Management

    Pay your stylist better. CLEAN your nasty salon floors quarterly like you use to. Get rid of my salon listen! Make you DL and leaders lead with integrity and backbone. Put your money back into the salons, stylist and less to the ideas of all the changes.
