Current Employee – been working at SAIC
Pros – SAIC is a very comfortable place to work in. You would never have to spend more than 9 hours in office. In case you do work in shifts that ends at 10:30 in the night, you get 300-600Rs every day. The food here is very good and its FREE. The compensation is extremely good and is definitely better than any software giant in India except for the global biggies like google, Microsoft and Intel. The head count in India is low and that is one of the primary reasons you are given a lot of importance in the company. The people in the senior management are really cool and very approachable. Its a Fortune 200 company, so obviously all the systems/policies are in place. Very good for married people looking to settle in bangalore/Noida. Growth is Superb.
Cons – The company basically caters to US Defense and other government bodies, so it does not publicizes itself and its indian head count being less, not many know about this company. So the pride associated deteriorates.
No long term visibility
Very little Onsite opportunities
Lack of trainings in certain technologies, as participants would be low.
Advice to Senior Management – Do some more offshoring, get us more clients.

Pros – > Free food and lots of other benefits
> Fantastic work-life balance and very friendly management.
> Good support from onshore colleagues
> If you are married and want to live a peaceful life then SAIC is one of the best place in India. You can expect L2 level of support job, onsite opportunities (for specific programs).
Cons – > Can't expect high-end technicalities
> No exposure to Engineering project
> No vision from higher management resulting in loosing good contracts
Advice to Senior Management – You guys really need to understand how to retain existing projects and get new one by having a long term vision.

Current Employee – been working at SAIC full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – SAIC is about making their customers happy. They strive to be the best in the industry and let their employees use innovation to reach this goal.
Cons – SAIC is in the process of splitting into 2 companies which is expected to happen in the Fall of 2013. While direct positions should not be affected there is currently a lot of changes to indirect employees which is making indirect positions very unstable and unattractive for the time being.

Current Employee – been working at SAIC full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – Work environment is great oversees. Benefits like their 401k is outstanding! Health Insurance was easy to use and didn't cost much.
Cons – No yearly pay raises unless you get a different job where you can negotiate or get promoted.
Advice to Senior Management – Too much favoritism inhibits room for growth when one should be rewarded for merit and be able to excell or get promoted.

Current Employee – been working at SAIC full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Rate of Pay. Management and the people along with the many self service training programs created a wonderful experience for me personally. I would have stayed with SAIC for the rest of my Career could I have avoided the lay-off. I will miss working at SAIC.
Cons – SAIC just recently split causing a reduction in Labor Hours. Many people lost their job.
The Benefits Program also took a major hit.
Advice to Senior Management – Take a look into the lower ranks to get an overall picture of what it actually takes to run the many different programs.

Current Employee – been working at SAIC full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – SAIC has their hands in just about every type of contracting work, so there is great diversity when it comes to different jobs available.
Cons – Depending on your working location, SAIC does not treat all of it's employees fairly. The more you are detached from the corporate environment, the less respect you get from the company as a whole.
Advice to Senior Management – Consistency with off-site management, compared to corporate management, could steer this company in the right direction and show employees that the company cares about them as an individual.
