    Pros

    The technical (IT) staff are fun to work with and very good at their jobs.

    Cons

    SCC do not value people..that is self evident with their 50% + annual churn rate (yes, believe it!). The working conditions are positively victorian (old, broken loos, smelly stale air, no light, ); all office furniture is old and broken, it is cramped and the IT equipment is a total joke. They do things on the cheap here; they pay the going rate, but the rest is just a short cut to profit and its the employees who suffer. I have heard numerous complaints about the way people are messed about by HR and management, its a shambles as they cannot retain staff. This company deserves to go to the wall. No flexibility at work here either, so if you have young kids, watch out. There's no WFH and they will squeeze overtime out of you and then you will struggle to get paid for it.

    What can I say; you have it so badly wrong. Get an independent assessment of the working conditions for staff and when they give it the title '3rd world sweatshop' then maybe its time to take note.

    Some lower level management is ok and the general staff are great people

    Cons

    - Illegal business deals
    - backhands
    - sales man are the only happy staff
    - HR always avoid paying money out if they can
    - agree to do impossible things (literally) to keep customer happy
    - send unskilled and un-trained staff into professional businesses and hope they swim not sink
    - no training
    - no knowledge

    Pros

    None, but the pay is slightly higher than you will get elsewhere, but what they expect for that little extra is not worth it.

    Cons

    12 hour days common, working away all week nationwide. no work life balance, SCC want work, work, work and offer no rewards or recognition

    Pros

    Good people get recognised and do well
    Flexible company
    Care about customers
    If you fit in its a good atmosphere
    Being a large family business is quite unique

    Cons

    Sink or swim, limited training
    Silos in the business are a pain to navigate
    Fear culture in half of the business

    Tackle the silos, it upsets staff and looses customers

    Train people! Sink or swim is a stupid business strategy

    Reward people, sales do OK but reward other areas of the business because they work real hard

    Pros

    Great company, good work ethic, great leadership. I love the SCC brand and enjoy everyday of work.

    Lots of away working due to lack of skills in certain UK areas

    Pros

    Going home at the end of your shift

    Cons

    Management are stuck up no formal training only care about SLAS and stats
    Do not care about staff morale
    Jobs are described falsely you will find yourself doing a lot more than you are supposed to and for pennies
    Will only offer pay rise when you are leaving and by that time you have had enough ready!

    Communicate with your staff, treat them better and with more respect and maybe they wont keep leaving

    Pros

    They pay you on time. If you came on board via TUPE and can stick it long enough, you'll eventually move somewhere better, because they WILL lose the contract at some point.

    Cons

    No payrise in 6 years. They care very little, if at all, about employee welfare.

    Management have no idea in how to engage with thier employee, other than ruling by fear of being sacked (for going the extra mile), loose part of your pay to cover the cost of an item going missing when the courier (TNT) have lost the said item(s).

    Being sent to jobs were you have had no training what so ever, just so that the SLA can be fudged as "engineer has attended". engineers manual out of date by 2+ years, so the password nolonger works and no one in SCC, ie CRM, knows who to call to get the correct password(s) other than "ask the customer".

    Echo of comments made preivously of how bad it was working for SCC.

    Start a revolution and sack the Rigby family. Then and ONLY THEN, will SCC be at peace.
