Current Employee – been working at SYKES full-time for more than a year

ProsGood people; great location(s); great presence in the community; great services to customers; great benefits.

ConsIf Sykes had a necromancer on their payroll, they would have no problem working you to death, reviving you and then working you to death again.

Advice to Senior ManagementFocus on work/life balance. Expand your flex commute options.

Savannah, GA (US)

Current Employee – been working at SYKES full-time for less than a year

Pros- no commute
- Encouraging work environment

Cons- VERY LOW PAY.
- Heavy tech requirements

Advice to Senior ManagementIncrease the base pay for these positions in order for the role to be attractive. As it stands no one can support a household with the current pay requirements.

Current Employee – been working at SYKES full-time for more than 10 years

ProsThere is stability and leadership is honest. I appreciate the PRIDE values of the Company, and SYKES tries very hard to please and delivery to its clients. I'm proud to work at SYKES.

ConsSometimes the type of industry is very stressful. It is a fast-paced, people-intensive business which is challenging. Not everyone is cut for the industry, but that applies to similar companies.

Vansant, VA (US)

Former Employee – worked at SYKES full-time for less than a year

ProsGreat pay, considering you sit and talk all day. Nice coworkers for the most part.

ConsStrict, sometimes stupid policies and rules. A lot of childish drama and stuff, but that's probably everywhere.

Manila, Manila (Philippines)

Former Employee – worked at SYKES full-time for less than a year

ProsVery accommodating staff from hiring until you graduate from English 101 and Product training. As soon as you're on the floor, Team Leaders, Coaches are approachable. Of course, they just have to see in you a good disposition.

ConsNone that I can share, cause it was a short stay and I regretted leaving the company for reasons that are unavoidable.

Advice to Senior ManagementI hope that BPOs or the call center industry would be fair enough to hire employees who have children with special needs, somehow grant them leniency in time schedules, see to it that the reason we have for working are our special children.
