I worked at Sabre full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    1. Flexible Environment
    2. Good and smart people but not in all team
    3. In the starting work is good
    4. Lot of travel opportunity

    Cons

    1. Managements seems to be confused, no clear goals and directions in which they want to take company. Plan is drawn every year but not followed
    2. Some people have been there for too long and they dont deserve to be there
    3. Over promising by sales, marketing make life hell for the actual guys who are working
    4. Not lot of scope to grow in terms of technical skill
    5. Salaries are below market level and have to really coerce them with an offer from other company to get good hike or promotion

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Invest in people and product and not in marketing. Make culture to be bottom to top where ideas can flow form bottom to top

I have been working at Sabre full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    Friendly atmosphere.
Managers don't pressurize employees unnecessarily; they respect your work-life balance.
    Good salary.
It's not all about pleasing the customers. Employees matter.
Good time off and work from home policies.

    Cons

Heavy bureaucracy - difficult to get what you need.
Blanket policies from senior executives stymie and frustrate you.
Very slow pace of product development - it can take years to perform a single product enhancement.
Little or no innovation, in spite of explicitly stated company vision and values.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You have to invest time and resources in order to innovate and do new things, or do things more efficiently. The current short term oriented thinking means that nothing changes and things will never more any faster or products get any better.
