    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make standard rules for promotions n Hike.. so many ppl feel differences with same level employee grades. Work life balance is key for ppl to stay there don't alter that too much so that ppl will stay there for longer period.

I worked at Schneider Electric full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    1. Good employees are well taken care of in terms of promotion, opportunities, bonuses and hike in salary.
    2. Employees have a say, provided that you communicate to the right person.
    3. There is a mechanism where you can communicate your problems to the upper management and rate your work environment and pin point problems. I used this medium effectively and saw corrective measures taken by the upper management.
    4. Upper Management is really committed in providing great work environment
    5. Work life balance
    6. As a GET (Graduate Engineer Trainee), you can find time to pursue you interests and work towards your goals (higher studies and other preparation etc.)
7.Diverse people, so you learn a lot when you sit and discuss with different mindsets (Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical etc..)

    Cons

    1. I feel that it's a reactive company and does things based on it's competitors like Siemens, Honeywell etc.
    2. Most of the teams lack efficient managers (Upper management is good) . So you have to fins a way to communicate things to the upper management :)
    3. Gives more preferences to experiences (70%) than to talent (30%)
    4. Some of the internal career planning tool and processes are jokes, they are done every year for namesake.
    5. You need a lot of determination to make a way for yourself through these team managers. Once you do so, you will feel that you are at the right place.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    1. Internal tools like employee career planning should be taken seriously and the immediate managers should be realistic in planning such goals.
    2. 360 degree feedback
    3. Find ways to identify teams impact and performance in global context.
    4. Methods to evaluate GETs should be open both to the GETs and managements. It should not be only managers feedback instead a team's feedback.

I worked at Schneider Electric as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

A great workplace with colleagues whom you'll have a good relationship with. Good ingrained systems and processes with plenty of room for your own contributions, exposure to many areas of a manufacturing business

    Cons

Initially some tasks may seem overwhelming, take time to learn and familiarize. Keep an open mind, interact, try to get people's cooperation, try not to get in their way.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Offer more flexible schedules, better shuttle services in afternoon for employees who need to leave earlier or need to go out for work.
