I worked at Standard Chartered Bank

    Pros

Strong Brand within APAC. Strength lies within Corporate /Institutional Banking

    Cons

Poor Talent Management. Poor Culture, In fighting between Sales, Credit and Collections. Political. No real strategy to dominate in the market. Leadership cocooned within UK rather than the emerging markets

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Leadership is a challenge in India. Most leaders come with a 2 year horizon so the vision for the bank is reset every 2 years and hence has no real strategic value
