    Pros

flexible schedule and discounts for associates. Also, all the benefits like insurance profit sharing 401k.

    Cons

Working in retail the daily plan always changes and the pay isn't all that great.

    Advice to Management

when you have talent in your associates, let them show and prove they can do thejob at hand and acknowledge them for it.

    Pros

I worked in jewelry for the majority of my time there and it's a really great place to interact with customers. I really enjoyed helping them find what they were looking for.

If you are a hard worker it doesn't go unnoticed and will often get your name put in a drawing to win gift cards.

They often bought food for special occasions like Christmas and Halloween.

    Cons

Overall a pretty horrible working experience. The hours and pay were horrible, plus it never seemed as if my manager were listening to my request for days off or for fewer hours. I was taking 18 hours of school work and they were wanting to work me 32 plus hours a week. It just was too much. The stores are huge and closing was a nightmare. I wouldn't leave for 2 hours sometimes after the store would close. A LOT of walking and being on your feet plus constantly picking up after lazy customer. They are really hard on you about selling rewards cards and will stay on you if you don't.

    Advice to Management

Start cleaning at least an hour before store closes so you can leave sooner.

Strive to sell rewards cards and managers will love you!

  6. TJX is a very good company that really cares about their employees. Not the best LP program but overall a great company.

    Pros

My favorite part is that they have a internal department that will help you with your internal cases.

    Cons

The bad part is that tjx is a one person lp store.

    Pros

Chance to move up if you are determined. Once you leave work you are truly out of work.

    Cons

Monotonous, bad employees are only there because they have been there for ever. Lack of full time positions, terrible business practices (selling extremely high APR credit cards to the elderly who don't understand the consequences of using them)

    Advice to Management

    Care about your job

    Pros

Great management, and company. Associates are grest. We are like a family. Everyone helps. We are a great team. I have never seen a management team work like this one does.

    Cons

Changes policy alot. Nothing else bad I can think of. Love TJ MAXX. Needs Jr. Plus size clothing. We get asked a lot for that.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work.

    Pros

Great company benefits, inclusive work environment, flexible schedule. Hard work is recognized & rewarded. Promotions opportunities for the ambitious. Fast paced environment makes the day go quickly. Team atmosphere.

    Cons

Call outs and lazy workers are tolerated. Frustrating to those who truly work hard. Makes you wonder what management is so afraid of--why do they accept this behavior?

    Advice to Management

Get some backbone, get rid of the no-shows and don't cares.

    Pros

Working in the backroom gives me the chance to see the merchandise before the general public does.

    Cons

They don't pay and give hours enough to live off of. They only hire you part time in which they only give you very little hour with minimum wage.

    Advice to Management

Practice what you preach. Don't tell your employees to cut and throw cardboard boxes in the correct garbage bins and don't leave it in the backroom for the backroom associate to do. When they are the first to leave and uncut in the way of the bin. Not good for me.
