    I worked at Target full-time

    Pros

Training is thorough, great support for newcomers, decent salary, very nice people, work-life balance

    Cons

Growth is slow, meeting-heavy culture, company is huge and complex- not nimble

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Too many useless meetings with lots of unnecessary print-outs passed, productivity can be improved if decisions can be made more efficiently, company needs to be aggressive while retaining the niceties

I worked at Target full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    1. Free food and transportation
    2. Good work Life Balance
    3. A trip to the US once a year if you are on a higher pay-grade. Maybe a few onsite opportunities

    Cons

    1. Bad Management
    2. Politics (It is a little more than what you find in most organizations)
    3. Everything and everyone are graded on their twelve principle strategy divided into four large quadrants. Truth is that you agree with your bosses and they agree with their bosses sitting in the US or the Expatriates strategically placed in India locations, you are safe

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There is nothing much that the management can do other than to be mere puppets sitting here with hefty salaries. They are really good but their hands are tied down as well. This unit in India is not even as much as a scratch of the US headquarters and it does not really matter how the show is being managed. Its just another captive where cheap offshore labor is being sourced by using terms like collaboration, Strategic placement, employment opportunities, work life balance, team members etc
