I have been working at Towers Watson full-time
Pros – Good people here if you can find them but they have all left.
With the amount of people gone now, if you are a junior client consulting analyst you are able to go to client meetings in your first year, but is that really a good trade-off?
Cons – Your hard work is rewarded with more admin and coordination work. Most of your day is spent chasing people and writing up invoice summaries.
Juniors are expected to only do admin and billing for about 3-4 years until you make consultant. When you bring this up to managers, they only solidify that sentiment and ask you to be patient.
Low compensation.
Advice to Senior Management – Think about why your analysts are leaving.
Think about the business model, loyalty is not a business model in this paradigm shift.
There is a gap between all levels of employees. What you think works may not work for your junior tier.

Pros – There are some very smart, very talented consultants who are fantastic teachers and can thrust your career forward
Abundance of training resources and materials
Plenty of special projects that are generally enjoyable and interesting
Cons – Good analysts are punished by receiving more work
If you're not working on the weekends, it's expected that your studying
lack of respect for study time
People who have failed the exam process or are not great workers are generally moved into people management roles (instead of consultants) where they continue to be 'not great'
Advice to Senior Management – Reward your best analysts with tangible benefits
Consider more goals than just billable hours for determining success (like if projects come in way under budget)
More stress on study schedules and 'exam time'
– I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Strong centralized support for intellectual capital development, senior leadership does a great job keeping an eye on the market and proactively acting on a changing benefits environment
