    I worked at UPS

    Pros

I enjoyed UPS. The people are great, the pay is fair, and the benefits were good. Most managers really cared about their staff.

    Cons

Sometimes there is office drama. It is difficult to progress in one's career because there are just so many employees. It is easy to get stuck.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please keep your eyes on opportunities to grow your employees. Also, be cognizant of office politics so it does not create a dreary work environment.

I have been working at UPS full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Generous compensation package and benefits. No chance for nepotism or cronyism which makes it a fair field for advancement. Training and education of employees is the ceiling of industry standard which gives career a boost if another opportunity arises elsewhere.

    Cons

Very fast paced career from the start. Working conditions are based on the weather of the region. Strict rules to abide by while wearing uniform or driving (protects company name and image). Don't make plans unless it is on your day off.

I worked at UPS part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great pay, great benefits, great co-workers. A very great place to work, as long as you are able to wait until a full-time position opens up and you are selected for that position. A great place to work for college students.

    Cons

    Need more full-time opportunities available.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I worked at UPS full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Good pay and excellent benefits. A domino effect stemming form union environment. Would be counter productive to have the front line employees have a better pay than management.

    Cons

Not an industry suited for everyone. Requires lot of sacrifice and dedication, specially during the holiday season. Check your heart at the door and limit yourself to follow set procedures.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't forget the words form Jim Casey: "we must be constructively dissatisfied".
