    Pros

Transparency, Extensive communication Channels, Platform to aceess top management.

    Cons

Centralized Decision making, relatively averse to public media in developing countries.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Current Employee - UPS Part Time Package Handler in Tempe, AZ (US)

I have been working at UPS part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Starting pay is $10 an hour, I've only worked for this company 14 months and I already make $12.50.
Hours are perfect for anyone going to school or who has a second job.
Lower management (i.e. supervisors) is always friendly and willing to help out.
    Safe work environment
    Keeps you in shape.

    Cons

    Very physically challenging job.
Higher management loves to put everything off til the last minute.
Can take quite some time to move up in the company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop making "safety" rules that slow down the process then getting angry at the workers for following them. Either I work safely or I load 500 packages per hour, but I can't do both.

I worked at UPS part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Good benefits after one year. Good pay to start and regular increases. I loved it here. Do your job and management leaves you alone. There are opportunities to gain more hours by working as a driver helper.

    Cons

If you want to drive full time it takes a long time. Working environment is warm in the summer and cold in the winter, but it is a warehouse setting.

I have been working at UPS full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

I love getting to meet new people all the time and seeing all the different things that we import as a country. I also love the challenges of solving the problems of supply chain and getting items to the go old U.S. of A.

    Cons

Cons are not a lot of room for growth. Commission structure is almost impossible to understand. And promotions sometimes seem to be based on tenure and not hard work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Step into the new and out of the old. UPS folks are still carrying blackberries. Really
