I have been working at Unisys full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Solid MNC work, from all over the globe. Tries to follow it's own global standard policy, but lip service on several places. No finance/payroll issues very prompt/professional.

    Cons

Minimal internal training, especially when attempting to grow within the organization. Being a huge company that has supported all kinds of customers over the decades, many work systems and applications are unique (of little use elsewhere). Subpar pay hikes / negligible bonuses. If you are coming in, make sure your CTC is hiked as far as you can push it. OK place to work, not OK for a career (this should be a jump off point).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Time off policy for what is termed as 'work - life balance' is non existent. Policy of hiring externally as first choice, rather than checking internally first, is surefire way of demoralizing existing employees. Zero transparency / feedback on IJP process. Employees have little faith in the process now.

I have been working at Unisys

    Pros

As per me its a good company where you can learn and get proper help from senior. They specialized in good areas like security management system, air core management system, mobility etc.

    Cons

Design quality is not good. I think they should take it seriously to increase the quality as they are good in development. In Indian market many CMM5 companies has put extra concentration on quality.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

As per me Unisys has great exposer in near future. Please take it seriously and concentrate on expansion in other cities. Suggested cities like Kolkata, Orrisa, Noida, Chennai, Mohali, Pune

I have been working at Unisys

    Pros

-There is not much work pressure.
-If you want to relax and dont want to get involved in coding, this is the best company.
    -Free Cab Facility.
-Hike depends on your domain. There are some domain where there are almost no hike. There are a few teams where there are double digit hikes.
    - work from home policy. If your manager is OK. But now a days they are not encouraging WFH.
    - You will get laptop (not to consultant 4).
    - you can get good joining bonus and time bond of 12 or 18 months
    - 20 earned leaves , 5 sick leaves and 10 festive leaves

    Cons

    - Management is poor. No decision making capability.
    - No onsite.
    - No quality work.
    - working hour is officially 10 hours(policy came 1 month back).
    - Cab facility is bad. the cab will leave you at office half an hour before time and pick you half an hour after log out time(this is called buffer time ). you end up spending 11 hours (10 + 1) in office.
    - You will find less developers and more managers
    - Company has no vision. Its a cost centre
    - Only work location will be SJR tech park , ITPL, opposite to satyasai hospital . No space in purva.
    - Does not follow any software model. Most of the times development starts before design document is prepared. Ultimately you will end up changing and modifying same code over and over again. Really frustrating.
    - Total 23K employees all over world. around 4500 in India but only 800 are engineers in india , remaining are BPO. In bangalore there are around 3500 employees and only 600 engineers rest are BPO and management. Hyd has small office of total strength 500 and some management guys in Mumbai, no developers in mumbai. So here you will find BPO culture. Most of the revenue comes from BPO. It is their main business.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

PLease manage things. and decide whether unisys is cost centre or development centre.

I worked at Unisys full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    - Good place to learn if you interested in upping your career in the field.
     - Environment mostly good, with fun activities when management decides to spend a little money on employees.
     - Mostly good people to work with, and made some really close friends for life.
     - Rarely a dull day at office
     - Training to keep the people up to date, although sometimes its reactive to a bad situation - leading it to be more of damage control(guess that makes it a Con)

    Cons

    - Lots and lots of Office politics!!! - although you learn to deal with it, so I'm not sure if its a Pro or Con.
     - Salary differences between people on same level can lead to unhealthy environment at times.
     - Favoritism shown by certain upper management staff.
     - Low work-life balance if you are in a managerial role: you are expected to stay longer, and no over time is to be expected

I have been working at Unisys full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Better pay than few service based companies.
    Best colleagues.
As fresher you'll love your days here, but don't plan to stay long.

    Cons

    Worst Management.
    Worst HR policies.
If you are closer to the management, you'll get good hike guaranteed.
Even if you work on product, you'll be paid less salary like that of services company.
    Process not followed at all.
Management will pay you less but give all the delivery responsibility.
You'll be appreciated in-front of the team, but not in-person, none of them.
No comp-offs for extra work done. Instead get to hear, the work should have been completed on time. How's that possible without proper planning

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Remove your ego problems and start to value people for all the work they do, not just by words but also salary.
