I have been working at UnitedHealth Group

    Pros

Good Pay, Nice work culture, Flexible working hours, will enjoy working here

    Cons

You will loose your Technical skills if you are not in right project, very less onshore oppurtunities, As usual manager is God here, it is employee driven company, No HR's. No proper channel to escalate your issues.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I dont think even if we advice something changes will not happen here as it is a Huge MNC and just only one advise if anybody is really watching this Higher management please watch the managers attitude, times we employees feel like we are loosing our identity and people with good experience and having lot of aspirations in our carrers and with good technical stuff struggle here with kind of childish politics which really doesnt make any sense at all. Please Please watch these managers and please dont say that we are tracking the vital signs it will not stop them doing there silly nothings

I have been working at UnitedHealth Group full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Nice place to work in Gurgaon

    Cons

India Shared Service center of UnitedHealth Group is a very stagnant place to work, I would prefer to join here back before 2 years of my retirement, because the entire unit is full of people who are typed in a particular role and doing same things at work for over the years.
I want challenging roles at this juncture of my professional life

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make this organization more performance driven

I have been working at UnitedHealth Group full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    - Good pay
    - Reasonable work-life balance
    - Above average number of paid leaves per year
    - Good cab facility

    Cons

    - Mediocre mid and top level management
    - Disappointing culture - specifically in their Technology Engineering side
    - Unwanted bureaucracy and high handedness from supporting functions
    - Mediocre and unambitious peers with some bright ones here and there

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The 'group' is an eclectic one but the policies and processes seem to be common for everyone - this is making everyone unhappy. Carve out niche cultures according to the group and give them more autonomy.

I have been working at UnitedHealth Group

    Pros

Job security is good. Option to work from home. But top leader will not allow you to use frequently.

    Cons

Growth is not performance based but dpends on your manager's like dislike.
Company hire max of its resources using references , tuning company into a family property.
Sometimes I feel they send fake mail of 40% growth because the day we receive it next day some cost cutting will be done.
UHG used to provide a cashless medical insurance that too has been changed into 10 - 90.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Managments are more interested in their own growth. Should foucs on employees too.
