Pros – The people working there care about all facets of the university. All departments work together to complete tasks and enjoy what they are doing.
Cons – Some of the downsides of working at the University of Central Arkansas would include: funds are not very plentiful and some workers are older and not trying to advance in their field.

Current Employee – been working at University of Central Arkansas
Pros – Faculty are very nice, and always compliment me on how great of a job I do. My boss is awesome. You get the responsibility of making sure the building is clean for the following day. The benefits are really good. The students are nice too. Couldn't ask for a better place to work.
Cons – Salary isn't as good. Could be paid more for what we do. Parking is terrible, especially around Lewis Science. Can't seem to find a space when needed in faculty/staff parking areas due to the fact that students park there illegally. PD doesn't drive around enough around these areas to give tickets. Not enough recognition for doing a great job.
Advice to Senior Management – Fix the parking problem. Staff shouldn't have to drive around to find a space, then end up parking in the back parking lot, causing us to be late. We need a pay increase or at least a raise. Some kind of incentive for us working here. Make us feel like we make a difference working here.

Current Employee – been working at University of Central Arkansas
Pros – Friendly coworkers
Attractive campus
Great community
Supportive peers
Flexible work schedule
Many people in the staff have been working there for years
Cons – The pay is not the best, and raises are slow and small (but that's a government issue)
Not many great opportunities for advancement
Advice to Senior Management – Improve the communication channels between the higher management and lower management. If not, then cut some off the levels in the middle to flatten the organizational structure.

Current Employee – been working at University of Central Arkansas
Pros – UCA offers tuitiion reimbursement, so you can continue your education. They have some great Masters level and PhD level programs. The workout facility is nice and the campus is beautiful.
Cons – UCA is a challenging place for minorities. Also, you are often required to work a huge amount of overtime without being compensated.
Advice to Senior Management – Have your management lever personnel take a management course where they are informed of the laws regarding weekly work schedules. Also, upper management needs to be trained on topics pertaining to diversity and race relations.

Former Employee – worked at University of Central Arkansas
Pros – I was able to set my own hours, work on homework on the clock and meet lots of new and interesting people.
Cons – Some students expected tutors to write papers for them.
Advice to Senior Management – Writing Center Directors are amazing people.

Current Employee – been working at University of Central Arkansas
Pros – Learned a lot about troubleshooting computers and gives me need experience before I graduate. Great college compared to others I've been too.
Cons – You can not expect much as a student worker. I really don't have any complaints except that the students you work with are young and not self motivated.
Advice to Senior Management – I think management does what it is allowed to do to the best of its ability. Now when a president is chosen, I don't think the good ol' boy network should be considered.
