Screwed up in India - It's not a 'Disney' in India

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsOf global operations (excludes India operations):
    1. Fantastic quality of management
    2. Remarkable coherence on IP led strategic growth

    ConsOf India operations
    1. Low-level self-serving management in India
    2. Continuing lack of strategic IP led growth

Advice to Senior ManagementSorry but you all failed to build a Disney in India. Got some volume on revenues? I can bet my money, its all tactical with no strategic builds.

For a quick win you lost your chance and let low-level studio folks run your business. Clean it up Disney. I hope you do.

It's a pretty good place but lots of politics

Senior Digital Designer (Current Employee) Glendale, CA (US)

ProsThe culture is one of positivity and collaboration

ConsSometimes the executives are out of ouch with the new market
     And make bad decisions

Advice to Senior ManagementLearn more. Don't get stagnant.

Disney is a pretty good company to work for.

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Glendale, CA (US)

ProsGreat benefits, great perks, great brand. You get to work with really smart and creative people.

ConsVery political environment. Company profits reign above all else. Employees are disposable.

Advice to Senior ManagementHave more courage and commitment to developing new digital businesses / start-ups internally. Don't always look externally for innovation via acquisition where you pay 10x what could be developed internally if the right organizational and incentive structures were implemented.

Love your job and you'll never work a day in your life

Attractions Host (Former Employee) Anaheim, CA (US)

ProsWorking in attractions was fun and enjoyable. The castmembers became great friends of mine and I loved going to work, most of the time! Disney has pretty nice benefits, including park access for you and your dependents.

ConsCostuming never has what you need in your size... Hours can get very low during the slower seasons. Many college-aged kids work here and can be immature. Guests can be rude but you have to grin and bear it.

Advice to Senior ManagementTomorrowland management, keep up the good work! However, scheduling people for "group shifts" does not work well for people with lives outside of work: we need to know more than 4 hours before a shiftwhen we need to be at work!

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
