I have been working at Wendy's full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

I love the people I work with, sometimes there can be drama with them but nothing too serious. When customers are rude they help laugh it off (not in front of the customer of course) and training is pretty easy.

    Cons

Rude customers. All the time, everyday I work. There will always be people like that. And the store's owner is a complete jerk (for lack of better words) to all of the employees especially the managers. I would never want to be one because I see how much stress is put on their shoulders. If there is an incident, no matter how big or small, it'll always be turned into a huge deal. Be careful what you say/do around co-workers/managers. They take you talking about another higher paying job as your resignation. Gossip travels fast.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I know you guys are doing your best keep up the good work and remember that being nice to your employee's and giving compliments isn't technically part of your job but it does make the shifts run faster.

    - poor hours, a lot of favoritism going on
    - no chance of moving up

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

My advice would be find a way to give ya employees more hours it's ridiculous especially during the fall/winter time

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Should pay those at the lower end, in the trenches, more money.

    I worked at Wendy's

    Pros

The crew is amazing, and we all have good teamwork in the operation. You also get a 50% discount on menu items. Moving up to management position is done through inspection, and is relatively easy with enough experience with the company and leadership.

    Cons

The compensation is minimum wage, always, the only raise would be to "core crew", which is a manager candidate in-training. Morning shift usually gets 30+ hours, and night shift around 15+ depending on your age, and how many people are in the crew already.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Things seemed to run smoothly, just at times I would notice the manager leave an operation while we had guests. That usually posed a problem, however, everything else was good.
