    Pros

You are able to come back even if you are fired from the job. Almost all jobs are 40+ hrs per week.

    Cons

There is a lot of favoritism and there does seem to be a glass ceiling there. also it is a bit hard to get a raise, sometimes you get a different position but the take sometime to up the actual pay.

    Pros

Building a strong services franchise globally. Have some great businesses and some that need further nurturing yo maintain competitiveness. Strong pay for successful sales talent.

    Cons

Decentralized model makes it harder to leverage capabilities inside the firm. Moving to build a more robust global best practices model in key areas across the services business.

    Pros

Training is excellent but the follow through is not always good. Xerox has a good brand which is a good to help get you in the door.

    Cons

Benefits keep getting reduced every year. Management strategy is lacking inspiration.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Company used to feel like a family but not more like a sterile, very much everyone is replaceable mentality. Provide more opportunities for teams to get together even if they are national in scope.

    Pros

The are terrific training courses available to everyone. Advancing is quite possible if you apply yourself. Managers are always willing to listen. The door is always open.

    Cons

Xerox started applying Six Sigma in all departments. Layoffs started quickly. Departments closed and staff was cut. A lot of things went overseas. Customer satisfaction was a roller coaster while I was there due to these changes. Small business and individuals lost any value. Xerox is all about bigger contracts with more money.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have no advise here since all the managers I would have talked with are no longer there. They closed our entire department.

    Pros

Xerox was a pretty good job as far as call centers go. The people I worked with were all very nice and management overall was extremely approachable. Amazing potential for sales bonuses on our project. Also have additional pay for performance metrics so they really do reward you for working harder. Great coworkers also, really liked 99% of the people I worked with.

    Cons

Some of their pay for performance metrics can be difficult to attain. There are basically only 2 levels of it so you either got paid out a lot, a little or nothing at all. All higher ups definitely played favorites and it was pretty obvious. There would be mandatory overtime with very little notice, they would expect you to stay extra with only a couple of hour's notice sometimes. The attendance policy was also rather inflexible and punitive. There was a point system and then "critical days" that would count as a double absence if you had to miss. Last con is that there were no raises, at all. They DO have great bonus potential but its a great morale booster to be able to get maybe a 10 cent raise twice a year.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider removing critical attendance days, maybe give opportunity for an actual, permanent raise once in a while, and watch with the playing favorites. In the professional world playing favorites the way they do can really mess with somebody's career/

    Good

    Pros

Xerox is a good place to work for work life balance, compensation as well as personal growth. They have a policy of moving staff to different positions to gain increased experience.

    Cons

Xerox lacks promotions and incentives. They are also in a transition phase eliminating jobs which leads to poor morale. They have also reduced benefits.
